We advocate for feminist ideals and work towards transformative policy-making in migration by breaking down the barriers to exclusive policy spaces. Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Social Media & Communication coordinator to join our team on a consultancy basis. This role is pivotal in building and nurturing our online community, particularly on Instagram, and ensuring our social media platforms are consistently updated and engaging. The position is for three months, with the possibility of extension, and past engagement with NWC will be considered an asset.



Role Overview: 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy focused on community building, with a primary focus on Instagram.

  • Consistently update and manage our social media accounts.

  • Create engaging and compelling content that highlights the diverse communities we work with and the impact of our initiatives.

  • Foster a sense of community and belonging among our followers.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure our social media content aligns with our mission, vision, and values.

  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to track the effectiveness of our campaigns and make data-driven decisions.


Social Media Management:

  • Create and cultivate a community on social media, with a focus on Instagram.

  • Update and maintain consistent posting schedules across all social media platforms.

  • Highlight NWC projects and showcase the various communities we engage with.

  • Ensure YouTube is updated with all NWC-created content.

  • Maintain an updated Linktree with accurate links.


Website Management:

  • Regularly update the NWC website and individual project pages to ensure information is current.

  • Manage website content, including timely updates about projects and events.

  • Establish guidelines for blog posts on significant topics/events.


Communication Strategy:

  • Develop and manage NWC’s response to external political, social, and economic events.

  • Design guidelines for social media and website statements.


Newsletter Design:

  • Design and edit a recurring newsletter.

  • Ensure the Brevo mailing list is up-to-date, adhering to GDPR compliance.

  • Coordinate with project managers to integrate participant emails into the mailing list.


Experience Required:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in communications, social media management, or a related field.

  • Experience with website management and content creation.

  • Familiarity with GDPR compliance and email marketing tools is a plus.
