Lily Adhiambo
Chairperson
Lily Adhiambo is a Senior Humanitarian Affairs Officer at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), in Geneva, Switzerland. She works in the partnerships and fundraising branch, where she advocates for funding for the lifesaving needs of over 160 million people across 60 countries affected by conflicts or natural disasters.
Lily is a certified leadership coach and mentor. She is a passionate advocate for human development and equity.
Sjoerd Warmerdam
Co-Chairperson
Sjoerd Warmerdam is committed to ensuring gender equality throughout his whole career. For many years he worked as a policy advisor on gender equality for the Government of the Netherlands, representing the Netherlands at the EU, Council of Europe and the UN. As a politician, he drafted proposals on how to positively include men in matters regarding sexual and reproductive health and rights. When working as a director for the Ministry for Social Affairs during the Ukraine crisis, Sjoerd’s main focus was to include the voices of women refugees in policy making.
Farida T. Bena
Board Member
Farida T. Bena, Director of Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy, International Rescue Committee Farida joined the IRC in 2017 as Director of Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy, based in Geneva. She brings over 20 years of experience in programming, policy and advocacy with a special focus on accountability and aid effectiveness.
Petra Hueck
Board Member
Petra Hueck has been working in the area of trade development for the European Commission and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Dominican Republic. As a director of the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) Europe office in Brussels (2005-2024), she steered ICMC Europe’s migration and asylum advocacy. She also co-founded the ICMC Europe led Share Network, an inclusive multi- stakeholder network. Petra has been an active member of several advisory and consultative bodies as well as steering committees. She has (co) authored various publications and articles and worked as a university lecturer, researcher and expert consultant.
Mohammad Mansoor Alam
Treasurer
Mohammad Mansoor Alam is a Marketing & Sales professional and an expert in Media & Communication. He is a Board Member of Progressive Thought International, Brussels with the Treasurer portfolio. Mansoor is also a member of The New Women Connectors Netherlands and its treasurer.
Fionna Smyth
Board Member
Fionna Smyth is a Media and Communication specialist, who has demonstrated sucess in strategic communication, fundraising, policy change and leadership. She is an inspiring leader with a constant comittment to social justice. She currently holds the position of Director of Influencing and Growth at Developments Initiatve, where she is Member of the Executive Team repsonsible for delivering a 10 year startegic plan.
